Getting to Punchestown Racecourse

By Bus from Dublin

On Punchestown race days, Bus Eireann operates a service from Bus Aras (on Store Street) in central Dublin to the Punchestown Racecourse. For bus schedule information, call Bus Eireann on 01 836 6111.

By Bus from Dublin Airport

On race days and for the duration of the National Hunt Festival, a special bus service runs from the airport to Punchestown Racecourse. A one-way trip costs €15. With as many as 100,000 spectators expected to attend the 2025 festival, it’s recommended that you pre-book a seat.

During the Punchestown Festival, buses depart from the airport at 9.30, 10.00, 10.30 and 11:00am on Tuesday, 24 April and at 10.00 and 11.00am on other race days. On each day of the festival, the bus service runs back to Dublin Airport at 7.15pm. For more information about the bus service, you can phone 00 353 56 8831106.

By Car from Dublin (about 26 miles)

Punchestown Racecourse is situated 37km south of Dublin. From the M50 motorway, exit onto N7 Junction 9. At the R445 Junction with the M7, turn left onto the R445 to Naas. Continue to the centre of Naas on the R411. At the first set of traffic lights, turn left onto the R410. Drive for about 2 miles and then turn right onto Woolpack Road at the crossroads. Drive for about another mile, and Punchestown Racecourse will be on your left.
